Hell, can I set up two alerts? Since I don't know if price is going up or down, can two alerts at the same time? One alert goes off if price goes above a certain price; and the other alert goes off if price drops below a certain price. I tried writing the code: =C<price here =C>price here But the alerts do not go off. The alerts ONLY go off when I have just one entry. Thanks for the support! |

I will soon be trying to do the same task. Considering the above SC post, it seems they are implying that it can't be done with simple alerts (my interpretation). So I am thinking of two approaches: 1 Set up two exact same indicators but with different alert conditions on each (one for shorts, one for longs). Or, 2: do same thing using two identical charts using different simple alerts. Does anyone agree that these solutions are workable? Or is there a better way? Thanks |

You can do this by using the OR function. So you can use a single Alert Condition Formula. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
