Hey prior to today been using 1440m charts with cont contract chart set to none. I would like to look further back on 1440m chart action as well as weekly, monthly etc so decided to experiment with cont contract settings. I have read what is listed on sierra site regarding these but feel that i am missing something. I want the historical intra price action and have tried all four setttings, but i don't know which one shows the true price. What i want to know is which chart is showing correct pricing with no adjustments - i.e. back adjusting. As you can see from pics supplied, when set to none, I have marked a lower low followed by higher low. I am assuming his is the actual price action. The other 2 charts show lower low followed by lower low. thanks |

You need to understand what futures contract month you are looking at. Refer to: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_ContinuousFuturesContractCharts.html#DisplayingRolloverDatesContractMonths It is correct. It certainly will be different when not using a Continuous Futures Contract. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
