Is there any way I can be notified of a News event on my chart? I use the Forex Factory Events calendar for news related events and would like to be notified maybe 10 minutes before an announcement with some sort of alert. Thank you in advance |

You can set up a Time Alert for this: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_AlertsManager.html Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. User 631578 I use SC's suggestion myself for news events that FF do NOT have in their calendar. There is no SC News Study that comes with SC as standard. However there is a third party programmer for SC that has a standard package of Studies for SC that does include a News Study fed from FF. What's more it appears as if it is your lucky day as that developer appears to be making that package available for FREE - see here at post #4: ACCUMULATED Relative Volume at Time of Day The post does not refer to the news study, but I can assure you it is in the package as @onnb gave me access to it a number of months ago and I specifically use the News Study. There are improvements that could be made, but it does the job. @onnb will make it available on the basis that he will provide no support and you won't be able to request enhancements - and obviously you will not get the source code. But like you, I have always thought Sierra Chart Engineers should provide such a study out of the box. |
