Hello support, Was just wondering if there are any plans to release a 64-bit version of sierra chart in the near future. Recently I have been trying to backtest entry techniques and I am quickly hitting the 4gb limit when loading footprint and various other charts on very small timeframes spanning back multiple years. In the meantime (or if the answer is no), is there a way to change the date range for multiple open charts at the same time? This would be useful for example if I want to practice trade a specific month or timeframe in the year 2014. Manually setting the timeframe of all open charts in my chartbook each time I start a practice session would be very time consuming. Perhaps a way to add this as a checkbox for linked chart settings? |

There are no plans for a 64-bit version now. You need to use the Chart Linking >> Days to Load setting: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_ChartSettings.html#LinkNumber Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Echoing support for a 64bit version. Have used siera chart for over a decade, and most of my studies are now limited by the 4GB limits of the 32 bit program

What you need to do is use additional instances of Sierra Chart: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/NewInstance.php If you have a lot of charts open, it is better to distribute that processing among multiple instances. Refer to this section here: Using DTC Server for Data and Trading in Another Sierra Chart Instance: Historical Data and Missing Historical Data If there still is a problem, go to one of the charts in the new instance and select Edit >>Delete All Data and Download.
