Hi Sierra,

I'd like to integrate my futures trading account via Stage 5 (for now only demo before going live) with Sierra Chart. They will provide me with CME real-time data. My question is... My intention is to still trade spot FX but overlaying some futures markets in my spotFX charts. How can I do that if under Data/Trade Services Settings, once I select futures trading account, I will get real-time data feed for only certain futures, right? How can I then simultaneously still get spot FX real-time data? Is that a possibility? As said, I want to trade spot FX overlaying real-time futures markets such as ZB...

Looking forward to your response.

Ivan

I've read this page http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_DTCServer.php#UsingDTCServerForDataAndTradingInAnotherSCInstance

I started a new instance but I get lost on how to go about it. My idea is to set up one instance with SC Data all services and the other with a futures trading account. This way, I beleieve I can get to my final intended outcome, which is trading spot FX (EURAUD and GBPJPY) while using overlays in the same charts from futures via second instance (gain capital futures account). Is this possible at all, to have in the same chart of instance1 data from instance2 as overlay?

If you could enlighten me please?

Thanks!

Sierra Chart already supports what you want within a single instance. Refer to step 3 here:

Hi Sierra,

I followed your instructions by setting up SC Data - All services, but when opening intraday chart ZB, this one doesn't update LIVE... my assumption has been that this is the case because i am not connected via Gain Capital/OEC (trading) service. However, you mentioned 'Sierra Chart already supporting want you want'... Could you please provide me further guidance? Note, when logging into Gain Capital/OEC (trading) Service, I get ZB live data but not when connected via sc Data - All services, as suggested. End of day, i wish to trade spot fx with futures overlayed, including this ZB contract.

We needed to add support for this for Gain Capital/OEC. This is now done. Update the Symbol Settings as explained here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_GlobalSymbolSettings.php#UpdateSettingsSteps

The Forex and CFD symbols are now listed in File >> Find Symbol when using Gain Capital/OEC.
