IS there way to: Create an instance of Sierra Charts that can ONLY operate in the simulated live environment (for testing), without the ability to turn off the Trade Simulation Mode, so no live trades can ever be sent to the market? Can this be done through a different USERID? I use Gain Capital and OEC for Data Trade Services. |

This can be done. Make sure your OEC account supports a connection to the simulation server and set Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Connection Details >> Server to sim.gainfutures.com Enter the corresponding Username and Password. Thank you. If there is currently only one USERID and PWD from the Broker, then can I be signed on for live trading on one computer, and another person signed on to this Simulation-only system, using that same ID and PWD? Or do I have to get an additional USERID and PWD from the Broker for the Sim-Only account? |

You need to ask Gain Capital / OEC about this. This is something that they control.

let me make sure I'm understanding from Sierra Chart perspective. Environment: Computer A: Live trading, Sierra Chart userid CME5452, Broker Userid-A and Pwd-A, Production Gain server Computer B: Simulated live Sierra Chart same userid CME5452, Broker Userid-B, Pwd-B. Simulated Gain server So I just need ONE Sierra Chart USERID/PWD (CME5452) and I'll get the two USERID/PWD from the broker, for live and simulated live. |

You can certainly use Sierra Chart on two computers at a time using the same Account Name. And for OEC most likely you will need separate connection details but actually thinking about it, you definitely will. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. On last question, the Broker is setting me up on their DEMO system to gain access to the sim.gainfutures.com server. In the Sierra Chart Data trade Services screen there are fields for Userid, Password, and Account No. Since this will be a demo USERID from the Broker, there is no Account number. Will Sierra Chart Data Trade Services connection work without an Account Number in that field? |

Yes, the connection will work but trading will not be possible without the account number.
