I want to see thr NYSE volume chart on a daily basis as well as other timeframes such as 30 min, 15 min, etc

I am sending the chart on which you can see the following problems I have encountered:

1. Chart values does not begin in zero every day
2. As seen on first and second charts, volume even shows a red bar as if the later volume is lower than the opening volume
3 As seen on third chart, if I set the timeframe to daily, there are some trading days that do not appear.
4. How can I see the real volume occured on an intrady timframe ONLY (ex 30 min), and not the cumulative volume?

I will appreciate if you can help me see what might be wrong with the charts, or have an explanation on how can I correct them.

Just give us about a day or two. We are correcting the issues and also see if we can add a new market statistics symbol to show the actual volume for each bar which is not cumulative.

1. The volume will not start exactly at zero each day but we are making some changes to the calculations to make it start where it should.

2. This will be solved.

3. We still have to check on this.

4. Use the new PVOL-NYSE market statistics symbol.

We still need more time to complete all of this development and improvements.

However, PVOL-NYSE should be working properly at this morning's open.

Follow the instructions here to update the Symbol Settings:

Confirming that PVOL-NYSE is working properly. We should have the other work done by tomorrow morning.

At that time, we will check on the problem with the daily bars.

Hi, Thanks for all the work!
However I am not able to see any chart as it seems I have a problem with the index scaling. At the right axis appear very large numbers, so I am not able to see the real value of the index volume.... Is is a setting I shall change? Or is it still something with the chart?

Thanks! I restarted the platform and now I am seeing it...
However I have a question: it this is a volume chart, why are red candlesticks on the chart? Shouldn't all be green?

This is explained in detail here for the symbol:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SCMarketStatistics.php#Symbols

You need to look at the Volume study to see the volume.

Hi
I didn't understand quite well what PVOL is... However, if I apply the VOLUME study to the PVOL, what I see is the total volume of the bar, regardless of the the timeframe?

The problem with the TVOL-NYSE Historical Daily data has now been resolved.

Update Sierra Chart to the current version with Help >> Download Current Version.

Open a Historical Daily chart for that symbol and select Edit >>Delete All Data and Download.

Let us know if there any other issues that you see. However, at this time all issues raised are now solved.

Hi
I did what you indicated (deleting and downloading again the data) and it seems that in the daily chart, for days before May 24th the low of the day is still not zero. For the 24th and after days, the low of day seems to be ok at zero

http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1464557495944.png

If I see the same chart at 30 min timeframe, the low of day definitely is not zero on any day as seen on the following chart
http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1464557853512.png

thanks!!

There is nothing we can do about the data before May 24. The volume will not start at 0.

For the 30 minute Intraday chart, re-download the data with Edit >> Delete All Data and Download.

If you still have a problem, make sure the Chart >> Chart Settings >> Session Times >> Start Time is set to 9:30:00 US Eastern time or the equivalent.

This is what we see:

ok, thanks, so we are ok on the daily chart....

As for the 30 min chart this is what I see,... Total volume for last Friday is the same as yours... However it doesn't start at zero...

This is not making sense.

How did you re-download the data in the chart?

What are the Chart >> Chart Settings >> Session Times set to?

Is Chart >> Chart Settings >> Advanced Settings >> Allow Zero Values enabled?

Hi,
I checked my start time and it was set to 8:30:01... And that correct the initial value of zero!
Now, the total volume for Friday differs a little from yours... but it is ok

Thanks you so much for you help! :)

Not sure why you would have to do that. But as long as it is working.

So the time zone in your installation of Sierra Chart is set to US central time?

What I meant was that I changed the time to start at the exact opening time... I do not know why it was set to 1 second after the opening...

Now I have changed my chart times to NY time on global settings...

Thanks!!
May I ask you some other things that I have not been able to do on Sierra Charts?

Camila
