unable to login to my trading account after SC update

Hello Support, yesterday i updated SC to the latest version (1405) and today i am unable to use it due to: CQG FIX Trading | Market data logon unsuccessful. Server message: Trader is not enabled to use SierraChartData. Please contact your FCM. | 2016-05-05 03:33:06 * Error connecting to Data or Trading service. For help with this issue, press the 'Send For Analysis' button on this window. | 2016-05-05 03:33:06 i know it looks like its a broker issue, i just want to doublecheck with you guys if it really is or if there is a bug involved. as it was all working smoothly before the update. thanks, Andreas |

You need to set Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Connection Details >> Connect to Market Data Server to False. After this try connecting again. You should have no trouble. thank you for the quick reply.. i had downgraded to the prev version and it did work, did the upgrade right now to doublecheck if it works with the new version and it does not. even with the "connect to market data" to false. same error message. maybe that setting does not work? Andreas |

good. it would be better if you guys could post the release notes first. we're at 1405 in the prerelease and rel notes are stuck at 1401. especially after those changes, where you expect users to reenter their credentials as they disappear in the settings. The changes we made will work properly for the typical CQG user. In the case when not using the CQG data feed only using FIX, these problems will be encountered. However, the problem of the setting to control the connection to the market data server will be fixed in the next release. There still are fields for setting the Username and Password in the CQG settings. There is only one set of fields now to make it easier.
