When in a trade that has stops and targets set, if I want to exit part of the position, how do I override the preset stop or target without removing them? Thanks

Just simply enter another order to reduce the amount of the existing Position. And make sure you are not using Scale Out: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_AttachedOrders.html#ScalingOut Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Scale Out seems to work. If I turn it off and try to place just a simple order with nothing attached it puts in a new order with attached orders. I tried right clicking and using the Chart Trade Window. How can I place a solo order and specify quantity without changing the presets on the Chart Trade Window? Also please confirm that I can use Scale Out, since it seems to work once I found it. Thanks

You need to uncheck the option "Use Attached Orders" on the Trade Window. How can I place a solo order and specify quantity without changing the presets on the Chart Trade Window? You need to set the order quantity through the Trade Window or the chart and that will affect the quantity setting on the Trade Window. Here is the documentation for Scale Out: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_AttachedOrders.html#ScalingOut If it does what you require, then use it.
