Hi,

Hector Hernandez (AMP)sent you a message for me to find a solution.

I have a live account with AMPFUTURES using Sierrachart package 5 and i also have a live account FXCM which i would like to be able to use with Sierra (because i don't like Marketscope) but when i look into "Data/trade service settings" FXCM FIX, it s written : not enabled on package. Could you enable it for me so i can use it also with my account AC104880A from AMP ?

Thanks for your help.

Best regards!

Romain

Is the account balance with FXCM over 20,000USD?

Otherwise you cannot use the FIX connection. We are going to be releasing a new connection model for FXCM which requires no minimum account balances. We are just waiting to complete an agreement with FXCM for this. It should be within the next month.

To use FXCM requires a direct account:

Yes it is over 20000 (but today the minimum is 10000).
Fxcm has sent to me all credentials. The problem is i have Sierra with my AMP account and when i go on FXCM FIX it is written (not enabled on package) i would like to be able to use FXCM with my account.

OK this will be fine.

However, for the time being you need to use a direct account :

Would you provide me another account for a cheap price, knowing that i already have one with package 5.

I will use this one only to use the Sierra DOM to trade with FXCM data.

See what you could do for a package 3 basic at a very special price :-)

Thanks

But you do not need the account you have with AMP when you have a direct account. You cancel the Sierra Chart account you have with AMP, as the documentation explains and then use the one that you set up with Sierra Chart.

Here are the instructions:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_DirectAccount.html

When you create this account we will activate it for two weeks at no cost.

But i still need futures data for volume profile analysis,.... FXCM data is not reliable..........
How much will it cost me for Sierra Platform package 5 with Eurex and CME ( no Ice ) and with Sierra feed for example ( are they reliable for Eurex footprint and volume profile analysis.....i mean as reliable as IQFEED ? )?

Thanks.

You will get the Futures data from your AMP trading account.

If you want to use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed you can.

It is a reliable tick by tick data feed. The CME data is more reliable than IQ Feed. And it does provide more tick by tick history than IQ Feed.

But is it good for EUREX (CME data does contain Eurex ?)

Yes the EUREX data from the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed is good and can be used for Volume Profiles and Numbers Bars.

EUREX is separate from CME data.

However, we see you are currently using AMP/TTNet, so why not continue to use the market data from that service?

Even with your own direct account you will be able to continue to use AMP/TTNet and FXCM at the same time.

Sorry to butt in .....

Now I am confused:

SC, from your post #11:

Even with your own direct account you will be able to continue to use AMP/TTNet and FXCM at the same time.

I thought when you had an SC direct account with AMP you are not permitted to install two copies of SC and have one connected to say TTnet via AMP and the other to say FXCM? I have asked this in the past and you went away, I think to talk to AMP, and came back and said something like 'with AMP there will be no change' ie we could not have two different data connections with a direct account.

Like the OP post says in post #1, when I try to do this under Data/Trade Services Settings, the FXCM options are greyed out saying 'Not Enabled on Package'.

When we say a direct account we are referring to an account that you create yourself and you pay for yourself. Not a Sierra Chart account from a broker like AMP.

Also you can install as many copies of Sierra Chart you want using the Sierra Chart account you have with a broker. That is not a problem.

The limitation is FXCM is not supported through a Sierra Chart account from a broker.
