Other than Trade Window positions showing, as in http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_ChartTrading.html , I can't find any other indictor that would show Auto Trade enabled.

In scalping with auto+manual trading, it's crucial to be able to rapidly disable and enable auto-trade, which I do by command key.
To do that, I must constantly know whether auto is already on or off (without going looking in menu).

When doing manual over-ride of enabled-auto trade, it's hard to keep up with which trades are auto, whether another auto exit or entry is possible or desired-- if you aren't sure if it is on.
Going into the Trade menu to be sure-- is distracting.

A little dot, or an "A" for auto enabled, preferably flashing 1/second up by the right end of the tool bar would sure be helpful.
This would make S.C even better.

Use a Control Bar button for this:

Something specialized like this would never be added:

A little dot, or an "A" for auto enabled, preferably flashing 1/second up by the right end of the tool bar would sure be helpful.

I'll try that! Thanks !

One thing, though:

I found a Global Settings>Graphics Settings> Trade Window Background Color,
Sim & Non-Sim.

This would be great, but I can't get it to sense Enabled AutoTrade.
It stays on Sim Color.
Can you test that?

I tried both command key and menu enabling/disabling autotrade, but stays Sim color.
Might be a never-tried/seen bug.
Or may be sensing how the current session began.

The Trade Window Background color is not affected by whether automated trading is enabled or not.

That custom button works Great! (like custom command key)

Sorry to bug you.
Why would the 2 Graphics options:
Trade Window Background: Sim Color and Non-Sim color -- exist?

It seems [the great] SC designers were planning ahead.

Those colors are used based upon the setting of Trade >> Trade Simulation Mode On.

The particular Control Bar Button that you have added can also be colored any color that you want. Including red to get your attention.
