Hi All, I was looking for the function to attach/detach a chartbook, like it is possible for a window.. I guess it is not possible? If it is not possible this would be a nice feature for a future release.. Thanks a lot for your feedback! |

This is not possible but you can run a new instance of Sierra Chart to see 2 Chartbooks at a time: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_DTCServer.php#UsingDTCServerForDataAndTradingInAnotherSCInstance This is not planned for a future release. It cannot be supported. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Try to keep your questions brief and to the point. Ok I understand, thanks a lot! And is it possible to use the same datafeed for those instances? |

Yes this happens by default. There is nothing special to do. The data feed is being shared and you can also perform trading in the sub instance if connected to a trading service of the main instance. Is it possible to have 2 chartbooks open? I'm looking to put charts on different monitors so I can look at different markets at once. Currently, when I detach a chart from the chartbook whenever I select a different market the chart goes away. Please advise.

They cannot be both visible at the same time. But you can use multiple instances of Sierra Chart as a way to accomplish this.
