yes i did that , all studies say custom dll , and not on the screen .

and it went down to 4-6% for 1 chart book which is still not great for high speed trading , but when i add the same chart books for the other markets it adds 3% each one and totals out over 10% , so not sure why

We do not notice any impact with trading even with CPU usage hovering around 10 to 13 % with 8 cores.

well i have heard multiple issues from others of order entry lag and modification of order lag over 10% , thats just way to high imho

i click on the chart dom to place and order and there as a half second lag before it appears , also dragging the chart has lag ,

what else can cause this issue ?

The half second lag is probably due to the Chart Update Interval.


So what you can do is on the particular Chart/Trade DOM you are trading from, reduce the Chart Update Interval for that specific chart:

so lower it to 500 or lower as all charts were at 1000 to lower cpu which dosent seem to change from 500-`1000
