In version 1392 the copy and move function is not functioning properly. Lines will recalculate and are different from the original.

We are not observing any problems with this.

What exactly do you mean by "recalculate"?

As an example: Select a "parallel rays" drawing "copy and move". Begin to move it around the screen, it will recalculate the angle of the lines such that they are different from the original. In this example, even the spacing between the lines will change. It is as if the defining 3 points are shifting (recalculating). Oddly enough the problem seems to be more prevalent when applied to a fast chart, such as a tick or volume chart where bars are printing more quickly.

So we can have a better understanding of the problem in your case, post an image of the chart where you are noticing this by following these instructions:

The screen on the right is where the problem is occurring. The green parallel rays are the original. The blue parallel rays are those that have been "copy and move".

We will patch this problem in the next release, but can you tell us what you have Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Intraday Data Storage Time Unit set to?

It is "1 second"

It needs to be set to 1 Tick.

Alright, I will do as instructed (as it makes no difference to me... the capacity of the data load is not critical to me). If I recall correctly, from the documentation, I could use either "1 tick" or "1 second" depending on the accuracy required.

Could you (would you) explain why this could make a difference in how a drawing object responds? Until 1392 I had no problems. Certainly, I don't wish to be argumentative (or could I), but I would like to better understand the software that I'm using. That said... it may not be possible to explain this to me. I'm an idiot (professed), and I would prefer it remain so...do your best... (or not).

Yes, but to solve this problem you do need to use 1 Tick.

There were internal changes recently with how Chart Drawings are mapped to bars with repeating timestamps.

This problem will not occur when the Intraday Data Storage Time Unit is 1 Tick.

I changed to "1 Tick" time unit and the problem remains.

This will be solved in the next release.

However, it should be solved if you re-download the data in the chart with Edit >> Delete All Data in Download.

If not, we are not sure why but just wait until the next release.
