Hi,
Your documentation is deep and well done and once you find the entry point for your subject it is nice to read
Now I found easily how to adapt ONE Volume Profile (or Volume by price)
BUT I haven't found yet how to setup this great tool for ALL my windows or at leat ALL the volume profile I want to open in one window

Thank you for help, that I appreciate very much, by the way

Not totally sure what you are looking for. But the Draw Volume Profile drawing tool does have 8 Tool Configurations. Refer to:

Hi
Thank you I were there BUT there is NO possible configuration for the Volume Profile
I went also on the page
But it looks like you have to open some chart with the Volume By price for ALL the window which is non-sense for me (it does NOT mean I'm right)
I'm looking for setting the small Volume Profile you open in each window NOT THE STUDY OF RELATED TO THE WINDOW as an all
And, by the fact, it locked my computer, and I had to delete my window before restarting the station

Is it clearer now?

We do not understand what it is you want to accomplish. Explain what it is you want to accomplish. Explain it is a series of steps.

But it looks like you have to open some chart with the Volume By price for ALL the window which is non-sense for me
We do not understand this. The Volume by Price study does not relate to all chart windows but consists as an individual instance which can be added to charts.

And, by the fact, it locked my computer, and I had to delete my window before restarting the station
Did Sierra Chart freeze or your entire system? If your entire computer system froze, this is a problem with your system and is a serious problem that you have to solve. This would not be caused by Sierra Chart.

Hi,

Explain what it is you want to accomplish. Explain it is a series of steps.
If so I'm becoming more precise.

On a certain window, I go to: Tools > Draw Volume Profile, then bck to the chart I choose the area for which I want a volume profile, everything works.
BUT each time I have to click on the Volume Profile (and there are several in 1 chart window), to adapt it to what I want, for Example: Highlight POC. and the color of the POC line

So I'm looking for a quick way to define the Volume Profile, the way I want, so that ALL the future Volume Profiles on ALL of my windows will look the same.
It is like having my own set of parameter standard for me alone
I'm sure it is possible to do, but I haven't find the path to do it

Does it become clearer?

Regards

Burt

Hi,

Did Sierra Chart freeze or your entire system?
Not at all, but Sierra Chart didn't answer anymore for a very long time,

I could come from the step I followed and from the fact that I tries several things that I do not understand clearly
(By the way I didn't say there was a problem with your system (don't feel "guilty" at each time, my sytsem works fine, yours too, I'm sure), but there are things I don't understand, and doing so it has consequences... (no?):

I looked at your documentation, and the only thing I found which ws close from my search was
Global Settings > Tools Config > Draw Volume Profile

Then instead of finding the parameters of the Voulme Profile, I found an indirection to "Chart Study Collection".
And it confused me, so I tries several things.

(And I understand perfectly why it could have locked your system, I'm looking for solutions, not finding problems where there aren't any.
You helped me a lot in pointing to the right part of your documentation for understanding why it is important to install yur program at the root and not on "Program Files". It is well (and perfectly clearly) documented, but very surprising within Windows 7. For someone who has a long backgroung with older systems, it is clear, but surprising on Windows 7)

For me I was like a pointer.
BUT as a matter of fact I don't understand clerly what is a Collection and "Clean Chart" concept
I went to your documentation and it didn't help me.

The only thing I found was "Volume by Price" Study which applies only to the all chart, and this is not what I'm looking for.

So where should I look at to attain my goal (prvious message)

Regards

Burt
