Hi,

When I press the "Go to Chart" function in the Alert Manager it takes me to the wrong chart, the chart displayed is usually the next chart in the watchlist of around 60 instead of the chart that triggered the alert.. I have attached a video to display the behaviour. Please note that this behaviour is from alerts triggered by the SystemAlert-SS study

I have considered if my ACSIL scan study may be producing this behaviour but regardless of this the Alert Manager "Go To Chart" Function is SC coding that I cannot control. Can you look into providing a fix for this as off course I would like the Go to Chart links to go to the correct chart.

It is going to the correct chart. It is going to chart #1 which the Alerts Log shows the Alert Condition originated from.

The problem is with the symbol not being set correctly but maybe your study is changing the symbol? Or there is some confusion related to the Trade and Current Quote Symbol.

Remove all studies from the chart and see if you still have the same problem.

Hi,

Yes you are correct; The alerts conditions are specified in a SystemAlert-SS (spreadsheet study) and then I am using an ACSIL study named AutoScanMulti to change the symbols on a set timeframe in order to cycle through all 60-charts in my watchlist at the set Chart Update Interval (100ms), this study makes use of the sc.DataFile ACSIL function in order to change the chart name and goes until all the charts in the watchlist have been changed; as it changes the chart name it triggers the any alerts in the spreadsheet alert study as both studies have been added to chart#1 i.e. only chart#1 is included in the chartbook and the symbol is changed in order to trigger the alerts; when the alerts get triggered I experience the behaviour in the video where the "Go to Chart" link takes me to the chart + 1 symbol in my watchlist of 60 symbols. I cannot control the behaviour of the Alert Manager in any way so I am stumped at how I can change this behaviour?

Hi,

I should have mentioned that my suspicion is that the issue may be with the way sc.datafile works and when the spreadsheet alert condition is triggered i.e. when the sc.datafile function is called or when it returns? As I mentioned the chart displayed using "Go to Chart" is always the chart after the chart which triggered the alert so if chart 34 triggered the alert chart35 (in the symbolist) is displayed.

Regards
