Hi there , I have just come over to Sierra Charts and I am trying to figure out the platform , I was with Neoticker by Tickquest for 10 years . Basically I have a bar based fully automated system and upon the close of a bar , I want to send out a limit order , say a buy limit order , if that order does not fill say on the bid I want to adjust that order up by 1 tick and if it does not fill on the next bid adjust it up another tick , thats it maximum . Is this type of scenario accopmplished with "chase limit order type" ? Also can I cancel a limit order if it has not been filled after a certain number of seconds . I have seen this feature on the R_ Trader pro Platform ? thanks in advance , Tim |

Not exactly. How the Limit Chase order type works is documented here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_OrderTypes.html#LimitChase To do what you want is possible and it requires using the ACSIL trading functionality. Refer to this page: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_ACSILTrading.html But you have to implement what you want to do, manually in your code.
