OEC Trader datafeed issue

Hello, I'm using an OEC trader demo and yesterday, during the crude oil inventories report, chart prices were lagging 1 minute compared to the actual crude oil prices. I have already contacted Gain Capital about this and their reply was that they reviewed the feed both currently and over the past day and found no issues. Moreover, no one else reported any issues from yesterday either. They also stated that the demo server is not related to any of their live servers. Could this be a Sierrachart issue?

This has been a long-term issue with the OEC FIX/FAST data feed.

It is not a Sierra Chart issue. That is not even technically possible.

So, the problem lies in their API? Do you know if their own platform, OEC trader, has the same lag issue?

The OEC Trader software uses a different data feed and it does not lag to our knowledge.

The problem is specific to the FIX/FAST data feed. Clearly their encoder is inefficient. This is very apparent.

If you want to trade with OEC and not have any data feed problems, then use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed:

Gain Capital has shown no interest whatsoever to fix this issue?

You will need to ask them about that. If you are noticing it, then it is still a problem.
