Hello. This is an issue I have never seen yet, and that I do not know how to solve. For some reason, my main chart disappears on a given chartbook. I can retrieve it by going to the "Spreadsheet_ Detach/ Attach " function. It appears on one of my screens, not attached to the main screen where it is supposed to be. I then use the function "Detach/ Attach Chart Window" and it disappears again. My main window remains white. Could you please indicate to me what's wrong. Thank you in advance. regards. Are you referring to the main Sierra Chart window? When you can see it, select Window >> Reset Windows. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Oops! wrong manipulation. I start again. Thank you for your reply and sorry for being long to answer because I have re-initiated my Operating System in the main time. I went through all the procedure to reinstall Sierra and I find my problem back. Yes, it concerns my main window, the one normally attached to the main screen (the one having the menu and the tool bars). I can make my window appear by going to the fast Windows 10 task bar. It appears somewhere in minimized size and it is detached from the main screen. A clic to select "Window" just makes it disappear if this window is placed inside the main screen. If it is placed on another screen, then there is no action. Just the message log appears. Another point to note is: if the given window, in minimized size, is present on the main screen, and if I maximize it (clic on the square at top right), then it covers all the screen and covers all the main area containing the menu, tool bar etc. I do not see this phenomena on other chart books. |

We are not really sure what to say about this. This is Windows 10 behavior. We are not using Windows 10 ourselves. We do recall that someone reported something similar with Windows 10 and they had changed some settings in Windows to solve a similar kind of issue. It was exactly the same with Windows 7. May be are there some behavior changes in Sierra from 7 to 10 (I have not seen any yet), but this one is definitely not coming from this change. I still was on 7 when I initially asked the question.

Thank you. It will not be necessary because I decided to go over the problem by reconstructing the failed Chartbook, creating a new one and duplicating each of my windows. It turns out that the weird window did duplicate getting rid of the problem. I conclude that my Chartbook had been corrupted, explaining the weird behavior. Thank you for your help anyway. Best regards. Jean-Marie Boulay |

We do not see how a Chartbook could become corrupt and cause a problem like this. But anyway if there is no longer problem that this is good.
