Hello, This is in response to post #24: Your FXCM trading account has now been assigned to your Sierra Chart account. It was previously assigned to another user and that information was in an email notification that you got. But this account has now been removed from that other user because they are not using it. Refer to this page and confirm the account number is correct: https://www.sierrachart.com/usercp.php Update Sierra Chart to the current version following the instructions here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/download.php#FastUpdate Set "Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Service" to "FXCM Demo Trading - DTC". Connect to the server with "File >> Connect to Data Feed". Depending upon when you receive this message it may take up to two minutes for our server to receive the updated authorizations for you to be able to connect. I noticed some unexpected account balance change, I don't know whether this comes from FXCM or SC. Here's the account balance window with no open positions: The account value shows 999979.12 http://snag.gy/TFmn0.jpg Let's buy 1K EUR/USD at the market: Now the account value is 1000005.12 http://snag.gy/8j6bK.jpg Now let's close the position at the market: Now the account value is again 999978.76 http://snag.gy/eqGfa.jpg It doesn't matter if I buy CFD or a forex pair, the AV still gets increased. It also doesn't matter if I open a long or short position, the AV still goes up. AFAIK, if I'm short I should see the increased AV, but why the AV gets bigger when I get long? |
