What is the correct way to add this in spreadsheets For the spread sheet automation so every 2 wins its adds 1 contract to normal position size. And on the first loss it resets it to the normal position size eg 1 contract? What is the way of password protection and security is there available for spreadsheets ? Thanks |

The question is not within the scope of our support. You need to refer to the documentation: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_SystemsAlerts.php There is no password protection supported for Spreadsheets. You will need to contact a programmer to do this: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartStudyAndSystemProgrammers.html It is clearly not with the scope of our support to provide this level of help. And yes, this is hard to help with this. This could be many hours of help. Also, Spreadsheets are really not the proper way to do this. You need to use ACSIL: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_ACSILTrading.html Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Ok is it possible to have a simple formula in spread sheets that add 1 contract after 2 win and resets it to 1 after a loss? that's what I'm asking as I would like to see how good your spreadsheet automation is |

This is not simple. And as a matter of policy we do not provide formula programming help. Also, when it comes automated trading, if you cannot determine the formulas, it makes no sense for us to be helping with them. Automated trading is serious and you need to fully understand what it is you are doing and be responsible for it. Refer to post #5 above. I know its serious that's why I have come see what the advanced spreadsheets studies can do. I know the formula! you are having trouble answering the question and determining is it possible in spreadsheets? For a formula to add 1 contract after 2 wins in a row and reset after a loss - that's the question if your a engineer and code this platform you would know this? Watched a great webinar with Anthony from Sierra Charts showing what you can do with it! So why talk down to your customers who are just learning how to use your platform? |

We do not think this is easy to do with Spreadsheets and you need to use ACSIL as we explained in post #5: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_ACSILTrading.html You really are missing the point of what we are trying to say. The difficulty with spreadsheets is keeping track of past Profit and Loss values for prior Trades. Using ACSIL you have access to all of this information easily.
