Using Initial Balance study, I am able to plot the overnight/Asia high and lows on a regular RTH chart from Tuesday to Friday, but not for Sunday/Monday. Only the Sunday values are plotted. Using Daily OHLC for the current day(set to the overnight session) on a different chart and then using a study overlay on the RTH chart does not work. |

Use the High/Low for Time Period - Extended study: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_TechnicalStudiesReference.html#s246 The very first step is to get the result from the High/Low for Time Period-Extended study working correctly on the chart containing the full 24 hours of data. Until that is done, do not overcomplicate it with an overlay. Here is the documentation for the Study/Price Overlay study: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_StudyPriceOverlayStudy.php Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. I had that problem when I was using Daily OHLC, but after changing to High/Low for time period Extended, I got the correct period identity.

In response to post #3, look over the documentation we have written here about this: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_SessionTimes.php#UnderstandingTradingDayDatesBasedOnSessionTimes This is our first draft and has not been thoroughly reviewed, but it explains how the study works with bar Date-Times and the Session Times.
