SC not responding after installing today's update

Top left says not connected in red. When clicking anywhere on screen, it says not responding. Clicking again greys out the screen. Not resolved even after 10 min. Reinstalled the update, same thing. Restarted computer, reinstalled, same thing. I'm stuck, please help. |
