I am trading thru Infinityfutures and I am trying to integrate the chart dom and I get a message in the log that says "Your account type does not allow this feature. | 2016-03-11 16:41:38 *"
Is this the way it is supposed to work? How can i have this feature on my charts?

Thanks

For this you need a Direct Account:

Why would one even need a direct account to use the trading chart DOM feature? That's like saying if one uses SC via their broker provided platform they don't get all the features even though they're still paying a platform fee to use SC? Is this a matter of SC package 3 vs 5?

I was thinking the same. You have packaget 5 but can't use the DOM. Makes very little sense.

The reason it is like this is because this limitation is requested by the broker.

So are there situations in which a "privately" branded Sierra Chart will only work with a given API like CQG making it impossible to use a "direct" version with it or will a direct version always work in all cases?

Why would a broker request that a given variant of SC do *less* when one is paying the service package fees anyway? It's not like it's free.

I think a direct account (SC account) will always works in any case because you are paying SC for their package. Now, the reason I think Infinity Futures would do this is because they want you to get used to their "Tools", in this case, Transact AT DOM. What other reason would be? Oh well, there is always something.
