Is it possible to introduce a link from the trade activity log, so that when clicked on a reported filled trade(the date field or the entire trade line) the chart/charts in a workbook containing the symbol would scroll to that point in time automatically? Right now i have to manually introduce the date/time from the report in the chart(using GO TO DATE/TIME) for the chart to scroll to that trade on the chart. This would increase the efficiency of analyzing trade situations from back test result. |

This is not supported but you can display order fills on the chart as documented here: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_ChartTrading.html#DisplayingOrderFills Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. I can see it is not supported. What i wanted to know and i think it would not be too complicated to implement is to add a new action when clicked on a trade from the trade activity log to scroll the charts containing the symbol in the trade list to the time when that trade was triggered.

Yes this is complicated. And we are already 1.5 years behind on development. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. To be clear, it is not something very involved, but is not very simple either.

OK. I see you recovered some backlog. It was 2 years a few months back. Just put it on the list if you can and when you have time maybe you can do it.I think this feature would provide a good improvement in work efficiency for all the users who backtest trading systems and have to verify a lot of trade results for optimization, instead of manually scrolling through the charts for each trade.
