Hello, I live in Phoenix where we do not have Daylight Savings Time, we switch between Pacific and Mountain Time. Should I switch between these in Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings? Also, if the answer is to switch between Pacific and Mountain will that automatically change all charts to the correct time? Thanks, James |

Not sure we understand the first question. You can set the time zone in Sierra Chart to Phoenix. There is a global setting for the Time Zone and also individual charts can be set to a different time zone but that is not the case by default. Arizona does not observe Daylight Savings time, right now Phoenix is -7 which is MST but during Daylight Savings Time Phoenix observes -6 Pacific Time. Will the Phoenix setting in the Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings switch to -6 when DST goes into effect? Regards, Chris |

OK we finally now caught on to what you are saying. We realize that the Time Zone setting which is listed as "Phoenix" which does not make any daylight savings time adjustments is mislabeled and it is being changed to "Arizona". According to what you are saying Phoenix is using different rules than Arizona. Therefore, you really just need to switch between Los Angeles and Denver time zones as needed. The only areas in Arizona that use DST are Navajo Nation lands. Most of Arizona, including Phoenix, does not use DST so it is always -7 GMT. SC Support, there is no need to relabel Phoenix to Arizona, as all others in the list are cities in their respective time zones. The confusion is that during DST of other USA time zones, Phoenix MST is the same as Los Angeles PDT. And during non-DST, Phoenix MST is the same as Denver MST. Phoenix is never -6 GMT. This is what I do: Set your computer time zone to Arizona, and set your Sierra Chart time zone to either Chicago or New York. This will allow SC to automatically follow the US markets you trade.
