Hello, I'm having some trouble I'm hoping I can get some help with. For a given symbol lets say I have two charts open: 1) Chart A uses a sierra data feed, and has some drawings and custom studies 2) Chart B is used for trading, and is connected to a broker data feed What I would like is: to somehow get the drawings and studies from chart A on to chart B. How I accomplish this doesn't matter - I have tried various things including different configurations with two sierrachart instances and referencing symbols from the remote instance. Nothing allowed me to get my chart drawings projected from A to B, nor was I able to get any studies working on chart B which required data from chart A's data service. If this is possible to accomplish somehow, please advise. Thank you! |

You can copy chart drawings from one chart to another. Refer to: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_ChartSettings.html#CopyChartDrawingsfromChart You can also link the studies between charts (charts must be in the same Chartbook): https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_ChartSettings.html#LinkNumber Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Hi support, This only works within the same instance of sierra chart (as far as I have been able to tell). Are you saying it is possible to connect to multiple data feeds simultaneously within one instance instance of sierra chart? Can you please link to the relevant documentation? |

What data feeds did you want to combine within a single instance of Sierra Chart?

Hi support, The issue I have is that my drawings and studies need to be done on charts with one data feed (due to quality of data and length of available history on that data feed), but my trading DOM chart needs to be connected to another data feed. Based on your reply I think I have a way to make this work. I will reverse the order in which I am using the data feeds. I will connect to the broker data feed on the instance of sierra chart which has all my charts, and change the symbol of the charts which have drawings and studies so that they reference the data from the second instance of serra chart. Thanks, please disregard this post for now, I will try tonight and post back if the solution does not work. |
