I know that we can link the scroll position for all the charts in our chartbook. However that can be cumbersome and unnecessary most of the time. It would be great if we could apply the Go To Date/Time functionality to either the selected chart or all charts in the chartbook though. Please consider this request. |

There is already a Chart >>Goto Date-Time command. And obviously if all of the charts in the Chartbook are linked by Scroll Position it will apply to all of those charts. Yes but that would only work if you linked all your charts. I cannot do that.

That's a great idea to offer a goto function with an option to check a box that says "all charts" or just current chart (default). While we wait for that, here's a solution if you have a way to automate things like this. I use a mac, so I'll describe what I've done and you can figure that out on your platform or ask chat.openai.com or bard.google.com for help. I use Keyboard Maestro (KM). Attached is an example. https://www.sierrachart.com/Download.php?Folder=SupportBoard&download=87010 I often want to study the 10h00 time frame, so I setup my goto command so that I can use it by typing on any chart /goto KM opens the tools menu and finds the Goto command, and then it replaces the time with 10 and sets the focus to the date so I can select it. The charts all allow us to type stuff. SierraChart lets us type 1mn for month 5m for 5 minute and EURUSD for a symbol. So I take advantage of that and I keep my commands memorable this way and I don't have to worry about conflicting keystrokes on macOs running on CodeWeavers Crossover. You could probably imagine a prompt where you pick the date and time you like from your favorite list and then those become the defaults and each time you run it, it just replays the last settings you picked and you click on each chart and run it as needed. Obviously, if SierraChart Engineers add a checkbox to the goto function that allows goto to work for all charts in a chartbook, that would be great, but you can get there pretty quick yourself with a good automation tool. Good Luck. |
