Intraday Data Storage Time Unit keeps reverting to 1 Tick

I just updated to V 1366. I have a chartbook (attached) which used to work fine setting Intraday Data Storage Time Unit to be either 1 Tick or 1 Second. But now it seems to be stuck on 1 Tick. Every time I try to change the setting to 1 Second it reconnects but the setting has been changed back to 1 Tick. I've attached the log when I do this and you can see it thinks 1 Tick has been selected.

Maybe it's something in the chartbook which is requiring 1 Tick, e.g. I have a cumulative delta bars study which I think I read somewhere is better with tick data. But I didn't have this problem before the upgrade so maybe there's something else I'm missing.

Actually separate question, is there really any difference between the cumulative delta bars study with 1 tick data vs 1 second if you are using minute bars? Surely 1 second is just the aggregation of all the ticks in each second no which in turn get aggregated into minutes?

This will be set to 1 tick by the Numbers Bars study.

Cumulative Delta Bars-Volume does not require an Intraday Data Storage Time Unit of 1 tick.

Ah ok that makes sense thanks. I thought I had numbers bars before with 1 Second, but I guess not. But here's my issue now. I need numbers bars for trading but I don't need numbers bars/tick history going back further than a day or two. And if I have 1 tick history for the es contract + back contracts going back hundreds of days then the file is too big/slow to reload every time I change the time period setting on a chart (e.g. have a look at 5 min bars before going back to 1 min bars). So I need to remove the numbers bars study, change the setting to 1 second and download the full history. Then put the numbers bars study back for trading with 1 tick data strored going forward. Then every few days/weeks take it off and repeat the whole process so the data files don't get too big. Is there a better workaround? Seems a bit of a cumbersome process ...

Yes you can compress the data by files by using this feature:

There is a setting in the Numbers Bars study (ln 118): 'Require 1 Tick Intraday Data Storage Time Unit'.

Setting this to 'No' will not trigger the 1 tick unit in the Data Trade Service settings.
After making this adjustment (then setting the Data/Trade Service Settings properly), you may need to close SC, delete the .scid files then re-download them after restarting SC.

I am posting, just in case if someone finds this helpful - although this has not been an issue until now (January 2021), somehow in newer versions this triggered occasionally (Numbers bars setting reverted back to 1 Tick Storage = Yes)

This definitely cannot be the case. There is another explanation for this. Possibly you have a Study Collection saved with Numbers Bars or a Chartbook that has this Input set to yes.
