AMP/CQG and Quotes

My connection is now configured for AMP/CQG using European Servers (London). I did some Eurex orders and found that those packets will go to Germany. BUT the current FIX connection is still to US (208.48.16.214) and all the quotes seems to come from US too (208.48.16.35).

Is it really so that when using CQG the data will come allways from US and only the trading packets will go via European servers ?

It is not much help if the configuration works like this because quotes are lagging badly (travelling first from Germany/Eurex to US and then back to Europe)...

I did not find any settings from the SC for this so this must be the problem of AMP. What do you know about this thing ?

Last time we asked CQG about this, which was really only about two weeks ago, they said they do not have a server in Europe.

That is interesting information you say.

Please read this:

"Matts" (from CQG ?!) is writing that "our Hosts in London"... "trades and data will be local"...

CQG offers different services and has different servers.

This is the answer we got from them with the understanding of the particular CQG services that Sierra Chart uses:

We don't have a server in Europe, but we have one in Singapore.

So do you mean that it is not possible to use those European servers by SierraChart OR is it more a question of how AMP or CQG will configure their network for SierraChart so it has the access to those services ?

Our question to CQG was about their Web API which provides market data so we are fairly certain at this time based upon the response, that market data can only come through the US.

We do not think this is in any way Sierra Chart specific or specific to the clearing firm.

Okay. I understand.

I will go and get the answer from AMP/CQG/whoever.

I will keep this thread updated what happens.

Thanks.

I got the answer from CQG and you were absolutely right.

CQG does not offer European servers for the AMP customers. Period.

So it seems I have to change my broker... I hope I still can continue with SierraChart (the best trading app ever).

Will see...

OK just let us know.

If there is a particular CQG server you need Sierra Chart to connect to, it is no problem for us to support that.

We can add it to the list of choices.

Can you put your TT connection to connect directly to TT's Frankfurt servers ?

This can be done by the X_TRADER and TT API (AMP is broker) but how about FIX connected SierraChart ?

When using TT FIX or AMP TTNet Services in Sierra Chart you are able to specify the Server IP address and Port number. Here is the documentation:
