Point & Figure -One Box Reversal

With the latest version of the P&F Charting Study, when the "One Box Reversal" is set to NO, it does not function if the box size is set to less than 100. It functions as if the setting is YES. This feature worked previously. There is a note in the Help page that this study was changed in release 1333. In addition, the extent of coverage on the P&F chart does not include all of the data dates input on the chart setting if the box size is set less to 100. This worked before also. These functions are critical when working with low priced stocks (<$25).

Make sure the Chart >> Chart Settings >> Tick Size is set correctly. We are not noticing any problems with this study and there should not be any problems. Therefore, post an image of the chart showing what you are describing, by following these instructions: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=PostingInformation.php#Image In addition, the extent of coverage on the P&F chart does not include all of the data dates input on the chart setting if the box size is set less to 100.
This is a complete impossibility. There is another explanation to this.

I have uploaded two screens, one with the P&F setting at 50 points and one with it set at 100. No other changes in the charts. Notice in the screen with the setting of 50, there are columns with a single figure entry. In the screen where the setting is 100, there are no single single figure column entries. In both cases the parameter for "Allow One Box Reversals" is set to NO. In the 50 point version, there shold be no columns with a single figure, except there are many columns with a single figure.

I uploaded a chart once more. This time I only uploaded the chart for the 50 point P&F chart. Notice the columns with single figures. There should not be any columns with single figures. The image was loaded to : http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?l=1454276862906.png

Do you have the Use Percentage of Last Price for Box Size Input set to Yes? We can only duplicate the problem with this set to Yes. In this case even though you only see one box, the range of those columns is actually greater than that and we will fix that. I have the following setttings for the P&F chart: Box size =50, Reversal size = 1, Allow one box reversals = No, New Bar at Start of Day = No, Ignore last bar until completed = No, Use Percentage of Last Price for Box size = No, Box Size percentage = 1, Calculate Only Using Close Prices = No. The stock symbol is SFM. On the chartthat I sent you, there is a price target calculation that was drawn recently for a .5 x 1 P&F prior to the change (shown on the chart). Prior to the change, there was a count of 10 columns along the horizontal line shown in the figure, but it is now 19 when you look at the most recent chart with Box size = 50 points. Not sure why you would have a problem then. However, we have released the changes. Update Sierra Chart with Help >> Download Prerelease. Also make sure the chart Tick Size in Chart >> Chart Settings is set to .01.
