I get the following error message:

FDAXH6 [C] 5 Min #2 | Color Bar Based On Alert Condition. SubGraphData Array 0: Out of bounds array error at index 0 | 2016-01-26 15:30:00 *
FDAXH6 [C] 5 Min #2 | Color Bar Based On Alert Condition. SubGraphData Array 0: Out of bounds array error at index 0 | 2016-01-26 15:35:00 *
FDAXH6 [C] 5 Min #2 | Color Bar Based On Alert Condition. SubGraphData Array 0: Out of bounds array error at index 0 | 2016-01-26 15:40:00 *

I am using this study to find a specific pattern. The alert should find a pattern of 4 candles in row. I get my alert but this message too.

What is the problem?

I guess I found the error by myself.

Problem was: Number of bars to calculate > Days to load

Those error messages should not occur with that study.

Tell us the formula you are using so we can test this.

As I wrote. It was my fault. The option "Number of bars to calculate" was to high. I reduced it and now it works without any error message.

Yes we understand that but that error message should still not occur under any condition. We ran a test to confirm that.

But anyway, we can let this go for now.

After looking at this more closely, we cannot understand the reason for the condition which is causing the array bounds violation error.

We also cannot reproduce it. So we have to just let this go for now. We also did ask for Chartbook but did not get that.

I am sorry but you ask for the formula only.

Please find attached the chartbook.

Yes, you are correct. We did not ask for the Chartbook. We had been thinking about another support request.

I ran the platform two times with two different brokers. Both had the same error.

Then I "played" a little with the options settings in the study.

In pic 001 you see that both have the error message
In pic 002 there is one with an error and the other without any error.

Different is setting: "Automatically Clear from Before..."

I hope you can reproduce the problem now :-)

I'm getting the same error message: | Color Bar Based On Alert Condition. SubGraphData Array 0: Out of bounds array error at index 0 | 2016-05-19 07:40:16 *

It has occurred in multiple charts in several of my chartbooks. It comes and goes - intermittent. I've tried changing the number of bars to calculate and Automatically Clear from Before 'number of bars to calculate' to YES which seems to help most of the time.

For us to determine the reason for the problem we need to get one of your Chartbooks and we have to test it.

Follow the instructions here to attach it:
