Hi,
Using your trial right now. I am using the data feed from Interactive Brokers which I trade from. I cannot see any data from ASX on Sierra Charts when requesting. I know you do not supply data for ASX but I thought using third party would be OK? Please clarify
Thanks

Make sure you are using the correct Interactive Brokers symbol format. Refer to this page:

No, the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed does not support ASX data because there is not enough interest in it relative to the exchange fees.

This is a very good table here that shows you exactly much has to be paid in vendor fees to an exchange to carry the data:

So you can see, to carry the world exchanges is a multimillion dollar business.

We can see the ASX is not particularly expensive but the final decision comes from the vendor of record whether they want to pay for this or not.

Also, the other question is whether you would want to pay the monthly ASX exchange fee?

I would pay the fee if it was for tick data. The only other real option for ASX tick data is from E-signal, who are a pain in the ass to deal with

ASX looks like it's almost the cheapest exchange to carry.

... There's a popular Australian charting platform called Market Analyst. The only retail data provider they current support who offers ASX tick data is E-Signal- http://www.mav7.com/market-data/

Perhaps they would be willing to look at supporting your DTC protocol. They like to innovate.
