say i want to chart /ES vs /ZN in the same chart window.
In my example, ES is the main instrument for the chart...and ZN is the Study/Price Overlay instrument

ES(S&P futures) and ZN(10yr treasury futures) have completely different price scales.
I need Sierra Chart to have a separate y-axis for each secondary instrument. Otherwise, there is no easy way to compare the different securities.

I'm expecting Sierra Chart to set the secondary y-axis to auto-scale to fit the data for this secondary instrument.

I don't see an option to do this in the Study/Price Overlay settings. Help?

Did you want to display the symbols both in the same Chart Region on the chart or in separate Chart Regions?

yes, i want them to both display in the same chart region....aka...overlayed. this is why i need the 2nd security to have its own y-axis.

ideally...in the settings of the Study/Price Overlay, there is a choice to use the primary y-axis, or an independent secondary y-axis, and also a choice to place the secondary y-axis on the right or left side of the chart.

You need to set the Study/Price Overlay study to use an Independent Scale Range.

Follow the instructions here for this:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_Scaling.html#ScaleWindowStudy

And enable the Left Side Scale in Chart >> Chart Settings:
