Having a hard time getting this set the way i want it. What i want it to do. 1. I want to set a defined start time and let the calculation start and continue to the current point in time. 2. If i am on a 30m chart and then switch it to a 5 minute chart i do not want the profile to change. 3. If i zoom in on the price bars or zoom out i do not want the profile to change at all. 4. Right aligned with the margin locked. I basically want it to look like the attached picture but want it to be a composite of the total volume and not change. --- this pic taken from the manual. I read through the manual on it, but i am not getting it set the way i want to. Any thoughts? |

The problem is you have the Volume Graph Period Type Input set to Visible Bars. You need to set this to what you require. The choices are documented here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_VolumeByPrice.php#Settings Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. How would i go about keeping the visual scale of the VP exactly like this. ( chart 1). This is a composite chart.... While expanding the bar size to this ( Chart 2 ) Settings.... ( Chart 3-5) Basically i want the scale of the VP to be locked and never adjust when i change the scale of the price bars. I have tried a bunch of different study scale settings but cannot figure it out. Makes sense that you just click independant scaling, but this removes the VP all together........ |

We will see about adding an option to the Volume by Price study to support what is described in post #4.
