If located in Europe and Trading Eurex futures what platform do you suggest to use with the SierraChart ?

- AMP/TT
- AMP/CQG
- AMP/Rithmic

What I know Rithmic does not have a co-located servers (except their geteway) with local risk management here in Europe so it is not the choice BUT how about the TT or CQG ?

Of course I will test everything in practice but what is your best quess / opinion in this ?

We do not know the answer to this and also it is not an easy question to answer because you also have to consider what servers that Sierra Chart is connecting to with CQG and TT.

So if you were to contact CQG or TT, they may give you an answer that in the end is incorrect.

Well I do not see this is very difficult I just have to do some work for it.

What I am going to do is I am goint to ask TT their opinion where I have to place my server to get the most low latency trading. The same thing for CQG. I am quite sure they will know the right answer and I do not see any idea why they would not tell it to me.

Then I will go and purchase servers from those locations and configure the SierraChart to use the "right servers" to connect with.

Is there any limitations to change these server addresses in SierraChart configuation ?

Then on the 3rd stage I will do a simple execution tests which will give me the answer.

---

btw. this is not a question of robustness because IMO it can be known only in practice and time AND it can change over a time so the quality check must be a continuous process.

It is possible to specify a different server for TT FIX at this time in Sierra Chart, but the question is whether the broker even supports that server. We would not think there would be support for any servers other than what the broker you use provides access to. This is what complicates it.

For CQG, it is not possible to change the server but if you do give us a different server address we will give you that choice to use it.

It seems the TT is the best solution.

CQG connection must be done via London servers. Rithmic exists in Ireland BUT TT has a Hub in Frankfurt. So it seems the TT may be the fastest. TT handles trading, risk control and quotes locally so no packets in/out of the city.

TT said AMP has servers in Frankfurt (?!) which means the X_Trader is OK, but SC is using Fix (right?) so this thing needs some more digging... it seems they do not support Fix in FF only their own TT API.

Anyway the prosess is on !

Edit:
The Fix connections are Chicago only. Damn. Now I have to go and check their TT API which means I may have to switch to it. I currently really need to run locally (Franfurt). It is too slow to wait packets to go over atlantic ocean back and worth.
