Curious when having multiple historical chart data instances open, what data or memory usage is being driven. For example, if I might have 12 historical data charts open while continuing to trade intraday.

When opening a historical data chart using a symbol for buy and sell entries. Im wondering the memory usage within Sierra Chart. I ask this because I'm worried that having too many historical data charts open would cause SC to crash.

Hope this is clear, thx.

You can see the memory use through the Windows Task Manager.

Sierra Chart will only have a problem if the memory use starts getting close to 4 GB.

If you have a large number of charts open like 200 or more, you might have a problem with Windows itself having a problem with a large number of windows open. However, in future versions of Sierra Chart this will be better managed to greatly minimize this potential problem.
