Manage Chart Drawings & Expired Contracts

On a daily basis I update the price levels for Extending Rectangles, Horizontal Rays, Horizontal Lines, etc. When a futures contract expires, I roll to the next one by modifying the Symbol in Chart Settings. When I use the Manage Chart Drawings Window, it appears all my drawings are linked to previously expired contracts. Even when I update the anchor point to a date that is well past the expired contract, the drawing is still associated with the expired contract. For example, I'll update the anchor point to Dec 21, 2015 but the drawing is still associated with the Sept 2014 contract. Even when I Copy and Move the drawing, it remains linked to the expired contract. Is there a simple way to migrate my drawings from expired to current contracts? Thus far, I have found the only way to have the drawing associated with the correct contract is to redraw it from scratch, which entails a lot of work because the drawing style has been customized (color, width, etc). Many thanks in advance for your help and happy holidays. |
