I've read through the help topic of Intraday Data Storage Time Unit http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_DataSourceSettings.php&CAID=#IntradayStorageUnit but would like to verify the following: The questions below relate to when receiving live/realtime data. 1. Does this setting have any influence on how a bar/candlestick is being build. With a higher setting (e.g. 10s), will ticks be missing in building the current bar? 2. When using only time based bar periods and the smallest timeframe used would be 11s, would a setting of 10s be recommended? 3. With a setting of 10s, would it be possible to use a 1 tick chart? 4. With a setting of 10s, would the Volume study show the same numbers as with a setting of 1 tick (in Intraday Data Storage Time Unit)? Would here be a difference between live data and backfill data? 5. Will this setting have any influence on Market Depth and Time and Sales? |

Have a look at the documentation again. It has been updated: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_DataSourceSettings.php#IntradayStorageUnit Be sure to reload the page linked to above. 1. The documentation already explains this very clearly and we will not say anything further. 2. The documentation has been updated to clarify this. 3. Not accurately. The documentation makes this clear already. Please apply common sense. 4. There is insufficient information for us to answer this question, and there is not a reason for us to answer based upon the overwhelming amount of information already documented. Read the documentation, apply common sense and do experiments if you are still not clear. 5. No. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
