Hi - Pls help here - Each time, I use associated watch list linked to a chart (or even a quote board linked to a chart) and then move across symbols on it - the chart needs re-scaling on the time axis since it moves to show the most recent time period and in that moves away from a view that it was earlier set to. 1. Is there a way to freeze the time axis when moving through symbols in use of associated check list? 2. Is there a way to overlay an automated trendline from a different time period chart of the same symbol? |

1. No. The way it works is intentional and we would not change this. 2. Are you referring to a Line drawn manually through the Tools menu or when using the Automatic Trendlines study? ok, so - 1. On this 1st q - does one has to re-size / re-scale the time axis each time a new symbol linking triggers? No way around absolutely? 2. Yes - I was referring to the Automatic Trendline Study. |

1. It is standard procedure in Sierra Chart that a chart is scrolled to the very end when the symbol is changed to ensure the user sees the most current data. 2. Use the Study/Price Overlay study which is documented here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_StudyPriceOverlayStudy.php Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. 1. ok, got it - just that I have to resize the window a lot 2. Study/Price Overlay of Automatic Trendline Study from a different time period char of the same symbol is not showing up - are you sure if this specific study can be overlaid ? |

OK - THANKS for this input here - but a few other related questions - 1. Is there a way to study/price overlay across chartbooks? 2. If not for above, is there any observed limitations on the number of charts that one chart book can hold before it gets too heavy and impacts application performance? |
