I pay for the Sierra Chart Real-Time and Historical Exchange Data Feed which I understood I need in order to get Calendar Spreads, but I only get historic spreads, not real time. I am getting historical futures prices and real time futures prices, I assume the historical from SC and the real time from IB. I can see the issue as I need to get the real time spread prices from SC as SC is not set up to receive the real time spread prices from IB. How do I get real time spreads from SC?

Update Sierra Chart to the current version:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/download.php#FastUpdate

And make sure you are connected to your Live Interactive Brokers account. It must be the Live account. Refer to the documentation about this here:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/SierraChartRealTimeFuturesStockDataFeed.php#Integration

This is not the problem:
. I can see the issue as I need to get the real time spread prices from SC as SC is not set up to receive the real time spread prices from IB.

Refer to the documentation here about how to access the Sierra Chart futures spreads:

Is it clear from what I said that I am getting the historic spreads, but the real time spread pricing is not updating on the chart?

I am connected to the live account - I tried to make that clear as I am getting normal futures prices both historically from your feed and in real time from IB

I have updated and no real time chart updating for spread prices

Is your last point directing me to the Sierra Chart future spreads, is this point valid as I am getting the historic spread pricing, I am just not getting the real time updates

We missed the obvious!

You do not have the CME Group exchange enabled.

You can do that here:
https://www.sierrachart.com/usercp.php?page=MarketDataFeedFeatures

That will solve the problem. It is only 3.25 USD per month.

That was what I meant in my first message with "I can see the issue as I need to get the real time spread prices from SC as SC is not set up to receive the real time spread prices from IB. How do I get real time spreads from SC? "

I am getting CL futures in real time ( I guess via IB?) AND my understanding was that the CL calendar spreads for SC can only come from SC, not from IB?

If I am logged into IB does that not mean I have paid the fee if I am enabled on IB for CME?

I don't mind paying the fee, I am just trying to understand the issue.

It seems by paying for the SC Realtime and Historic, I then get SC historic data and if I don't pay the CME fee via your site, I then get real time data from IB. So I am getting the real time data for CL futures from IB , but I am not getting the real time CL spread data from IB because it does not recognize your symbol type for the spreads. Is that correct?

So if I pay the CME fee via your site, I would then be getting the real time CL futures data and CL spread data from your SC server?

But of course I would be paying two CME exchange fees for one set of data(actually one payment as I think the CME fee is waived on IB?)?

Again I am happy to pay the CME fee via yourselves but just making sure I have a handle on the issues and where the data is coming from?

To be clear, your spread data feed is a fantastic service!

There is a total of seven questions here that all are very similar.

So if I pay the CME fee via your site, I would then be getting the real time CL futures data and CL spread data from your SC server?
Yes. If you end up paying the CME fee twice, there is nothing we can do about that and that is not within the scope of our support to help with that. Obviously we can do nothing.

Although if you do have the ability to cancel the CME fee individually from Interactive Brokers you can do that.

Even with CME, it still doesn't address the fact that Sierra barely has any historical spread data at this point. People who trade spreads usually needs months to years worth of data and SC has like 3-4 months (?) at this point. Not a whole lot of people scalp spreads intraday.
