Hi I am trying to draw the *previous* day settlement on a *current* day of an intraday chart, using the Daily OHLC study. I a know many asked similar questions, have read the study and settlement/last trade documentation, but simply cannot set it right. My charts : * #1 Intra-day main chart (60mn), globex session time set to the daily session, with week end data, no night session. * #2 Historical daily chart. Both with 20 days data. Daily OHLC is set on chart #1 with : * Use This intraday chart to No * Daily Chart # to 2 * Reference Days Back is set to 1. Result : nothing is drawn. FWIW : * When Reference Days Back is set to 0, the levels of the *current* day are drawn. But I want the previous day, not the current day... Please advise. -- W. |

Set the Scale for the Daily OHLC Study to Automatic. Refer to the instructions here on how to get to the Scale window of the study: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_Scaling.html#ScaleWindowStudy This will cause the scale of the chart to automatically update to insure that previous day settlement amount is visible. Scale set to automatic. Still nothing drawn. Please remember I indicated that when Reference Days Back is set to 0, the levels are drawn so it is not a scale pb. -- W. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2015-10-30 17:32:18

There must be some problem with the study settings, or with the data. We do not observe any problem with this. We see what the problem is and we are solving this. It has to do with how the Session Times are set in the chart even though it is a Historical Daily chart.

This means a temporary solution for my problem is to change the session time of the daily chart to 00:00 - 23:59 (switch to intraday.. set the session time.. switch back to historical daily). -- W. |
