Hello, i've inserted the Time and Sales Price Studie connected to my tick ES chart. This studie can plot on a subchart only a small number of Time ans Sales bars (about 1000 / 2000 bars). Is there a way to plot a large number of data on the subchart? In the Data Trade service setting i can set the "number of stored time and sales record:" to a bigger number but i think this setting apply only on the Time and Sales Window and not on the Time and Sales Studie. Best Regards |

You need to increase the Number of Stored Time and Sales Records as explained here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_DataSourceSettings.php#StoredTimeSalesRecords As the instructions state, you need to reconnect to the data feed after changing that setting. If i change the number of stored time and sales the chart get the correct data, but i think there is another problem. If i get for example 10000 stored data and those update live correctly, when i only change for example the size of the draw line of the studie's subgraph i lost most of the stored time and sales data and the studie continue to store the data from the line 2000 or 3000 about. Is this correct? Thank you |

Individual Bid and Ask price updates also use time and sales records. So the data that you see from the Time and Sales Price study would appear less than 10000 bars. And it takes time for the Time and Sales records to accumulate after connecting to the data feed. Not very long though. About 10 minutes. OK, i know the data need time to store the 10000 records, bit why did i lost most of them if i change something in the study setting? In the guide you wrote they are mantained until i disconnect. You wrote: "So the data that you see from the Time and Sales Price study would appear less than 10000 bars". So is there a way to obtain more than 10000 bars and plot them on a subchart? Maybe using a sierra chart function? Date Time Of Last Edit: 2015-10-29 19:48:28

Not all 10,000 of those are going to be used for actual trades. So you will see less than 10,000 on the chart. When you recalculate the chart, only those Time and Sales records available for trades, will be displayed. Any data displayed which is not part of the current 10,000 records will be cleared. If you want to look at Time and Sales Price data without any limitation, follow the instructions here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/helpdetails31.html#TimeAndSalesSpreadsheet Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Ok i understand. If i can get Time and Sales Price without limitations throught Spreadsheet, does the Spreadsheet use ACSIL function to mantain those data? If the answer is yes, is it possible to replicate it using those ACSIL functions? Using both Spreadsheet and ACSIL study working together for my trading is not my goal. I'v just made my system in the Spreadsheet but now i want to make it in ACSIL language. Thankyou |
