Hi Sierra, Is it possible to create something almost similar to this extent? I am currently using the Sierra charting and notice it might actually be able to. However, I am stuck with the lower time frame windows. The charts are unable to fix the lower time frame charts as like what is shown in the screenshot. In sierra, the fixed horizontal lines move up and down the window when the pricing shifts out of my chart. Capture.JPG is my sierra(the red circles are when they go out of the charting window). Ar5Efv... is the charts i am trying to accomplish. A note to mention, i have tried several things like anchoring, lock fill space and many more like auto centering but could not attain what I need. Thank you. I have tried the constant scale with auto centering. However, it makes the charts goes into a single flat line. |

We did not say to use a Constant Range Scale. The documentation says use Automatic.

I did not say that you say to use a Constant Range scale, just that I was highlighting and would be great to understand why it happens. I will give it a go tonight and will update here. |

Basically what i'd like is, to allow my lower time frame charts to be plainly indicative charts. No price, no shifting out of window, allowing me to place 2 fixed horizontal lines for indication when to enter. |

For the chart in post #6, select Chart >> Reset Scales. Does that correct the problem? And what is the Scale Range set to for each of the graphs in that chart? Here is the documentation for Chart Scaling: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_Scaling.html Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Tried #6, it does not correct the problem. Scale range is at Automatic. Tried Constant Range, also does not achieve what I desire. Scale Type at Linear I didnt not touch any other things in the scale settings. I have yet to try user defined, but I do not have high hopes for that. Thank you. |

User, I just looked at your chart and, in at least one case, you appear to be showing the information at the top of the chart being hidden by data. Before you get to fancy with scaling can I suggest: - press F5 to bring up chart settings and in Advanced Settings 2 make sure that the Region Data LInes (middle) are set to Hidden for the first couple of regions to get rid of extra data. - go through your studies and make sure that ALL of them are set to automatic scaling (its easy to get lost in your complexity). - do the reset scales thing to make sure everything is in the middle and not confused because you adjusted something in the past. So, minimum stuff on the chart, everything automatic, make sure its reset. Another very useful scaling option is "Same as Region" but that can result in data not showing so use it knowing that you intend that to happen. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2015-10-23 07:13:36

Hi Kiwi, Thank you very much for the basic steps. It is true that I have been overwhelmed by the amount of features and complexity of this system. I will do just that and update as accordingly. |

After you have done what you have been instructed to, at that moment in time, post an image of the chart: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/PostingInformation.php#Image We want to know what the chart looks like immediately after you have reset the scales and have made certain that all of the Scale Ranges are set to Automatic. Hi all, I managed to play around the settings and am getting nearer to where I desire the charts to be. As attached below. If you do notice the horizontal line still shifts around when the Lines are shifting out of the intraday chart. How do I keep the line on close and horizontal lines within the intraday chart? |

If those horizontal lines are from studies, make sure the Scale Range for them is set to Automatic: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_Scaling.html Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. You might try using the Screen Padder study: Add Custom Study -> User Contributed Studies -> Screen Padder Try setting PIPS Above to something like "0.5". |

Hi Eagle, Thank you for the help on this. Done the screen padder. The price lines are still moving out of the window. I just want it to stay within the window so my horizontal lines (not from studies) can stay within the window and not move. |
