Revised from old board, for clarity & suggest solution. No big hurry. Background: Need a Trailing Stop-type Buy Order to trail price on a dip (from a trigger price), (or conversely a short entry on trailing/chase sell stop into a bounce-top), --- to work from chart trading, not just Trade Window pull-down. For Entry. I see this works from Trade window & pull-down ONLY. This buy-order would chase a likely-falling price, with trigger set within mkt. price to trigger the trail function immediately to chase to reversal point of entry. Ideally, it would tighten the offset stop in steps. (I understand basic trailing stop-loss exits in bracket-attached orders, but not tried step offset stop loss.) SC Support told User 29582 to use a trailing stop type: Stop Order Chase funtion The problem: Pull-down price setting in fast market scalping is not fast enough & mistake-prone. A trailing stop limit to buy above a falling mkt price appears to be only settable by the Trade Window pull-down. Chart trading set ON (my usual), I tried to chart-set when Trade Window says "trailing stop buy"... doesn't work. The chart order becomes a stop buy & the trade window reverts to plain stop order. Programmatically, this requirement may just be the opposite of a Chase price to Exit. This is chase price & tighten to Enter. I could do without the tighten steps for a while, if that would help this get done. Solution? Ideally, 1) the Trade Window would set the type of order and settings for Trailing Stop on Chart orders also, like it does for simple limit and stop orders. OR, a work-around: 2) a new type of attached order like a simple-bracket, but reversing positions of the main order (limit or stop) with the stop loss part., and disabling the limit/stop order part of a standard Limit/Trailing Stop Loss/Target ... to convert that part to the trigger-price set. So an existing Stop buy bracket would a) just reverse the positions of the Limit/Stop & the Trailing Stop-loss, and b) not send the main order. That is, the limit/stop but does not execute, and the remaining trailing stop loss (previous exit) becomes my desired trailing stop entry. Everything acts the same except the attached name changes, positions flip, and the main order does not execute Date Time Of Last Edit: 2015-10-18 20:07:02

This is rather complicated and we are not clearly understanding what you mean in some cases. However, we do not need any further information. This is not the case: A trailing stop limit to buy above a falling mkt price appears to be only settable by the Trade Window pull-down. As is documented here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_OrderTypes.html#ChartTradeShortcutMenu You need to add the Order Type to the Chart Trade Shortcut menu.
