I read the page before .. When i tried, i am only getting perticular onr bar back ground as the color .. not sure how i can do ... i need to have background of the chart color changes in line with Zig Zag line color..In other words, if ZigZag line is green, chart back ground should be green until zigzagline changes the color .. May be simple thuing if you are acoder..but primarirly i am trader example would be more beneficial ...appreciate ur time

You'll need two instances of the Color Background study, one for each ZZ direction color. Use formulas like these: Up: =ID1.SG1>ID1.SG1[-1] Down: =ID1.SG1<ID1.SG1[-1] where the ZZ study is ID1. Edit as needed. |

i will often use a duplicate of the study, or a Study/Price Overlay and just set it to use background style
