is it possible to create a template like this: I want to choose a symbol and display in a prepared chart with different EMAs to backtest and look for special patterns and EMA conditions. When they occur, I want to change the layout to display the chart at the same position with predefined bollinger band settings, afterwards to change to a third chart with predefined oscillators. Is this possible? Is there a hotkey to change the template to a new symbol? Thanks. |

No, this is not possible to change studies based on certain conditions. Here are instructions to change the symbol of a chart: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_SwitchingSymbols.html Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Excuse me, I think my explanation was unclear. I’m talking about backtesting manually. In the first chart I’m looking in the past for special chart patterns combined with different moving averages. When they occur, I want to verify the setup using the bollinger bands. To do this I want to change the layout with one mouse click, so that in the same chart (same symbol at the same selected time) instead of the moving averages the bollinger bands are displayed. If this setup also confirms, I want to do it with oscillators. Thank you. |

Therefore, what you are interested are called Study Collections . They are documented here: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_StudyCollections.html Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Thanks for your support. I created an Associated Watch List with different symbols. Is it possible, to draw lines (support, resistance) on a special chart (for example AAPL), then change to the next symbol in the AWL (for example TSLA) and draw there different lines. And when I use the AWL the next time, I want to cycle among the symbols including the various lines I drew. Thank you. |

You will need to disable Chart >> Chart Settings >> Advanced Settings 2 >> Show Chart Drawings for Different Symbols: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_ChartSettings.html#ShowChartDrawingsForDifferentSymbol Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
