Hi, Is it possible to use a study like "text display for study" but have the text under/over a candle similar to "color background based on Alert condition"? Ie: using color background based on Alert condition but displaying a sub study. I'm currently using the "text display for study" x10 This would be very helpful for me keeping track of numbers Date Time Of Last Edit: 2015-10-02 22:37:30

There are Draw Styles which can be used with any study which will output as text Subgraph values and also a fixed Subgraph text string. Refer to: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_ChartStudies.html#DrawStyle This is all that is available. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Hi Thanks for the info, but I'm confused. I have a simple moving average, I would like to display the text value under the candle instead of the curve. I hide the SMA and use a Text display for study (region #1) referring to the SMA ID:SG, I don't know what to put in the subgraph tab, I've tried text with a large width/size but it still displays at the X, Y settings. I've also experimented with the SMA subgraph tab, text draw style but it didn't display anything. Mike. |

Sorry, but the image doesn't help.. can someone please explain how it's done? The instructions don't make sense to me: Text (ACSIL: DRAWSTYLE_TEXT): This Draw Style will display the specified text at each chart bar/column at the level of the Subgraph value for that bar/column. The actual text is specified with the Text to Draw setting for the Subgraph. To clearly see the text, be certain to set the Width/Size setting for the Subgraph to a large enough value. For example, use 12. Refer to the image.
Thanks for any help. Mike. |

Thanks, got it :) Impressive! auto-colouring +/- works :D Any way of limiting it to X number of candles? If not that's okay Date Time Of Last Edit: 2015-10-05 02:23:43
