I put together a study collection based on Trading Fibz method he advocates. Included in the collection are three sets of MA crosses, corresponding Color Background Based on Alert Conditions. Added studies of my own: Slow Stochastics, Pivots Points, Daily OHLC, VWAP and Super Trend Stop. I modified the MAs to my own preferred inputs from his suggested 5/10. 5/34 and 50/144. Value formats are set at .001 in the MAs.

The gaps can be closed by adjusting the Color Background "Value Format" to .0001 or .00001. All the regions should be the same, based upon the chart settings/bar period which I have set to renko and various periods on different charts.

I switched from Color Background based on . . . to a spreadsheet. The gaps went away.

I added vertical lines in Region 2 to show when the Ticks were above or below 400. I confirm a trigger with the CCI-14 and Net-Ticks (I trade the Russell). My Region 3 is the 1-minute with a 50-EMA and 144-EMA.

Litz was using a 10-7-0 Renko chart that he then Heiken-Ashi'd. Too many signals for me so I changed the Renko to 20-14-0 and I like it much more.

I use 3-monitors so at close of trading yesterday, this is what I saw.

I find it's all about confirmation. Not the Holy Grail but a satisfactory start.

Cheers

JayShea, your charts are impressive. For the life of me I can not get mine to look similar to yours. Yours look so smooth and clean. Especially the third image. Would you be able to help?

Am glad to help.

Send me a .png of your chart or better yet, your .stdycollct and I can make the changes. He uses Color Bar Based on Alert Condition and I use spreadsheets which essentially yield the same data. Are you comfortable with spreadsheets?

BTW Although I no longer use David's system, it is kinda the Step-1 in my system so I'm very grateful to him for the guidance/impetus he provided that from my perspective tends to take the 'noise' out of the market to set up reliable entry signals. I highly recommend his trading room regardless of the system you use.

In hiking we say HYOH (Hike your own hike) so a corollary would be TYOS (Trade your own System)

Your latest setup is of benefit to anyone who is not married to trading with their own personally-developed system (a practice to which I have been frequently adhered).

Using the Law of Parsimony, you help make SierraChart shine more than usual.
