I apologize for bringing up this topic yet again - there's been so much discussed here - but I'm struggling to put the pieces together. I intend to trade e-mini Index futures. Server side bracket order capability is key to my trading style and peace of mind. I also want reliable communication and transaction management. I was exploring CTS, but I've learned that Tick data is only available through their "Advanced Data & Charting" service, which at $200/month minimum is beyond what I think I should have to pay. My thought at this point is to subscribe to their "Core+Charting" product (which is a "1 minute resolution and above" feed, and I assume the one referenced in the SC write-up) - so that I have access to the CTS order entry/management platform - and continue my subscription to the SC RT data feed so that I have access to Tick data. Is this the method implicit in SC's "Integration with Trading Services"? Any one else require bracket orders and Tick data? What is your approach and experience? Thank you. |

A related question. In SC's CTS Trading Platform Service writeup (http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/CTS_T4.php), Optimus Futures is not listed. Yet, Optimus does offer CTS. Does SC support CTS T4 through Optimus?

I was exploring CTS, but I've learned that Tick data is only available through their "Advanced Data & Charting" service, which at $200/month minimum is beyond what I think I should have to pay. This is not the case when using Sierra Chart with CTS T4. You will have access to both historical and real-time tick by tick data. So you do not need the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed but you may want to keep it because the latency is going to be lower most likely with the real-time data with our data feed. You can use CTS T4 through Optimus Futures and they have now been listed. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
